Veteran Town Halls Set For Nov. 5 In Three Lakes, Rhinelander

Dept. of Veterans Affairs

Veterans and others will have a chance to ask questions about issues at two upcoming town hall events.

Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center leadership will be listening to veterans, family members, care givers, and anyone who would like to learn more about VA health care.

Oneida County Veterans Service Officer Tammy Javenkoski says VA represenatives host these town halls a couple times a year...

"...They come in and inform us on changes coming down the pipe, or have recently happened. They give veterans, spouses, family members and care givers an opportunity to ask questions..."

Both meetings are being held on Tuesday, November 5. The first meeting is at 10:00 a.m. at American Legion Post 431, on Superior Street, Three Lakes. The second meeting is at 1:30 p.m. at the Rhinelander Veterans Center, 1002 Coon Street, Rhinelander, the AMVETS building.

Javenkoski says these sessions will be talking about the new MISSION Act, which includes after-hour visits to Urgent Care at non-VA facilities, as well as other important information.
