Guild's Administrative Leave Extended

Wikimedia Commons Royalbroil

Rhinelander City Administrator Daniel Guild's administrative leave has been extended.

At a common council meeting called Tuesday afternoon, Mayor Chris Frederickson announced that Guild's leave has been extended until the new council decides to put the matter on a future agenda. He says the matter will be in closed session when it appears on that agenda.

Guild has been on leave after an arrest in March following a months-long investigation by the Oneida County Sheriff's Department and other agencies. They were investigating alleged changes in documents. Guild has been charged in Oneida County Court with misconduct in public office.

The administrative leave had been extended to April 13, but a meeting then was postponed to the meeting Tuesday afternoon. The council is next scheduled to meet on April 27.
