Vilas County’s director of the county public health department, Laurel Dreger, has announced her retirement after 24 years of service in the department.
“Now that COVID seems to be winding down, I think the office staff can be upgraded,” Dreger said. “I’ve enjoyed working with many county residents and school district staff.”
It’s anticipated present assistant director Tammi Boers will be promoted to director and Julie Christensen will be the new assistant director.
