Wisconsin sets new daily COVID record for second day in a row, tops 10k cases in a single day

Wisconsin set a new record for daily COVID cases Wednesday, a day after break the old record from 2020.

The Department of Health Services is reporting 10,288 new COVID-19 cases.

It brings the 7-day average up to 6,260.

This is on par with the number of cases the state was experiencing last winter.

Overall, there’s been no significant changes in hospitalizations in the state over the last two weeks.

The state is also reporting another 44 deaths related to COVID.

On average 20 people a day are dying because of the virus.
