The Vilas County Forest Administrator announced his resignation Wednesday.
Al Murray held the job for two years.
In a message announcing his resignation, Murray said Vilas County has been a wonderful place to be while admitting to some rough patches.
Much of the work he’s been doing the last two years has been used to help put a plan in place for the county to follow for the next 15 years.
Murray said he is leaving proud of his accomplishments.
His last day is October 29.
Murray said he accepted another position that was in the best interest of him and his family.
