Bethesda Lutheran Communities celebrated the new location of their Community Life Center in Rhinelander with the public today through a dedication ceremony and a ribbon cutting. The center houses Bethesda’s local offices and employment, residential and recreational services for people of all abilities. Area Director Kathy Todd says a new location also means new services.
“Every Wednesday we operate a resale store. What we’re trying to develop is a training program link taking a job description from one of the retail stores, a combination of them, and teach those actual retail skills in our store.”
Todd says a new program to train staff members is also underway. Funding from donors will provide computer equipment so staff can complete training online.
Bethesda’s new location is in the former South Park School at 511 South Pelham Street.
