Last Case-Free Wisconsin Counties, Langlade And Taylor, Report COVID-19 Positives

Langlade and Taylor counties were the last in Wisconsin without COVID-19-positive cases.

On Wednesday, that changed for both.

Langlade County announced it had detected its first positive case, and the person is isolating at home.

The county provided no further details.

The infected person in the Taylor County case had contact with a positive case elsewhere in northern Wisconsin, the county health department said.

Both counties said they were following up with individuals who had contact with the infected person.

The state now has more than 13,000 positive test results, and 481 people have died.
