The Antigo Police Department said there is not a threat to the community after a body was found on the sidewalk near 5th Avenue and Morse Street.
The police department got a call around 7:00 a.m. Sunday. The caller said there was a man laying on the sidewalk and they believed he was dead.
Police and EMS responded. Jess Welder, 52, of Antigo was dead.
Antigo Police do not believe anyone killed Welder. The Langlade County Coroner’s Office is still determining cause of death.
