Eagle River City Council Selects New City Administrator

Ken Anderson

The Eagle River city council selected a familiar face as the new city administrator to replace Joe Laux who indicated he will be resigning next summer.

Robin Ginner, who was on the city council but will now resign, will begin job shadowing Laux in March. Ginner, the present executive director of Trees for Tomorrow for the last five years,  has about 20 years experience with non-profit agencies.

“I’m excited to shift from the non-profit world to the government world,” Ginner said. “There are new     hallenges and I’m excited to give back to the community I grew up in. I think the city needs some new amenities that have gone by the wayside in the past and look forward to exploring bringing them up again.”
