Arbor Vitae Man Sentenced Assault at Nursing Home

An Arbor Vitae man who worked as a Certified Nursing assistant will go to prison for sexually assaulting some patients at a nursing home where he was employed.

Jacob Schlosser was sentenced to 10 years in prison, ten years of extended supervision, and 15 years on the state's sex offender registry as part of a plea deal on Tuesday.

Schlosser pled guilty to one count of sexual assault of a mentally ill victim, in exchange for having another count tossed out.

In addition to the prison time, he will also have to complete a sex offender assessment program and will be banned from working or volunteering in a setting that would put him in direct contact with anyone who is physically or mentally impaired.

Schlosser had said that the contact was consensual, but officials say there's no way the victims could have consented to such contact.
