An Antigo man is facing multiple charges after police say he tried killing his ex-girlfriend.

Kevin Malvick, 53, is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, first degree recklessly endangering safety and stalking resulting in bodily harm, among other charges.

According to court records:

Malvick and his ex-girlfriend got into an argument at her home on June 15, after she went to dinner with her family instead of him. After the argument, she decided to leave to get cigarettes at the gas station.

He followed her there, ramming his truck into her vehicle and pushing it about 20 feet. The ex-girlfriend then went to her sister's house, before deciding to walk home.

On her way home, Malvick saw her walking in the alley, drove up in his truck and hit her. She then ran toward the Antigo Public Library. There, she saw a woman sitting in a truck, who let her in.

A man with the woman in the truck confronted Malvick, who then started walking away before police stopped him.

Court records also show that Malvick continued to threaten his ex-girlfriend after he was in police custody, saying he was going to strangle her.
