Two Arrested After Car Chase Down Lincoln Street in Rhinelander

Oneida County Sheriff's Office

A traffic stop led to a car chase through Rhinelander yesterday.

An Oneida County Sheriff’s deputy tried to pull over Christopher Lukaszewski because there’s a felony warrant out for his arrest.

But when the deputy pulled him over, Lukaszewski gave the deputy a fake ID and then took off down Lincoln Street.

Police followed, and the car chase ended at the corner of Bruner Street and Ocala Street.

Lukaszewski then tried to run away on foot.

He was caught near the Pelican River trailhead.

Lukaszewski was arrested on a list of charges, including disorderly conduct, possession of an illegally obtained prescription drug, reckless driving and attempting to elude an officer.

Two other people were in the car with Lukaszewski.

They were also taken into custody.

One has been released.

The other was arrested for possessing an illegally obtained prescription drug and felony bail jumping.
