Oneida County District Attorney Files Additional Charges Against Daniel Guild

Daniel Guild
ONEIDA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

The Oneida County District Attorney has filed new charges against former Rhinelander City Administrator Daniel Guild.

An amended complaint was filed in Oneida County Court on September 11, 2020. According to the court documents, Guild is facing two new counts of Tampering with Public Records. Both are felony charges.

In March of this year, Guild was arrested and charged with Misconduct in Public Office and Fail to Perform Known Duty. He is currently out of jail on a signature bond. His arrest followed a more than three-month investigation by the Oneida County Sheriff's Department. The matter concerns alleged open records violations.

Guild's contract with the city was terminated with pay in May.

According to online court documents, Guild is due in court on October 22 for a preliminary hearing.
