DNR Warden Tim Price will be a member of Team Wisconsin this May to raise funds for Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) kids summer camp by riding a bike 250 miles over 2.5 days from Chesapeake, VA to Washington, D.C.

Law Enforcement United (LEU) honors officers who have died in the line of duty ensuring surviving family members are supported and never forgotten. The COPS summer camp each year in East Troy gives surviving children age 6-14 and spouses a week of outdoor activities as well as grief counseling, according to Price.

“Each year from 140-160 officers are killed in the line of duty and summer camp attendees come from across the U.S.,” Price said. “I've never been to Washington, or on a road bike, but I've lost 25 pounds getting ready for this ride.”

Vilas County deputy Randy Schneider presented Price with a $500 check from the Vilas County Deputy Sheriff's Association for support. Price spends the full week at COPS summer camp on his own time as well as this bike trip.

Donations of support can be sent to teamwisconsinleu.com by add Tim Price to the comment line, or checks made out to Law Enforcement United by mail to Price at PO Box 818, Eagle River, WI 54521.
