The time to get a ballot mailed to you has passed.(5:00 p.m. 2/11/2016) Vilas County Clerk Dave Alleman reminds voters that after a series of court actions, this will be the first major election where voters will need to show identification at the polls. Alleman says acceptable forms of ID include a state of Wisconsin Drivers license, even if revoked or suspended, a state of Wisconsin ID card, a military ID card or a U.S. Passport or card. Other forms of ID are also accepted and other ID forms...
".....an ID card issued by a federally-recognized Indian tribe in Wisconsin. A driver's license or a state-issued license receipt issued by the Wisconsin DOT, valid for 45 days, a photo ID issued by a Wisconsin accredited university or technical college...."
The school ID's have other restrictions on them. You can find out more information by going to the Government Accountability Board website.
Alleman thinks most people will use their driver's licenses as identification.
