A 74 year old man has drowned in a Vilas county lake.
The Vilas County Sheriff's Department was called shortly before 10:00 a.m. Monday to Razorback Lake in the town of Plum Lake.
When deputies arrived, they found an unoccupied anchored boat with a floating fishing net nearby.
As crews neared the boat, they found the man dead in 7 to 10 feet of water.
The cause of the drowning is under investigation and the name will be released when relatives are notified.
The man was not wearing a life jacket. The Department asks all boaters to wear their life jackets when on the water.
