Leading up to the February 18 primary election, WXPR is interviewing the candidates for the 7th Congressional seat opening.
So far, we've interviewed Republican Jason Church and Democrat Tricia Zunker.
Today we interview a candidate well-known to Northwoods residents, Republican Tom Tiffany of Minocqua.
Currently the State Senator for this region, Tiffany also served in the state Assembly and has been in business in the region for many years. At times he's been a lightning rod for controversy, especially regarding mining issues.

Tiffany says he also will support the Second Amendment and is pro-life. He says he continues to do work in the state Senate while he's campaigning. Tiffany and Republican opponent Jason Church will debate Thursday(2-6-2020) at the Wisconsin Public Radio studios in Wausau.
WXPR will record the debate and bring it to you Thursday afternoon during the first hour of All Things Considered.
