Medical examiner identifies the three people killed in a plane crash near Eagle River

Three people from out of the state died when the plane they were in crashed in Forest County on September 28.

The Forest County medical examiner released the names.

Joseph Johnson, 28, of Florida, Mike Dickens, 28, of Missouri, and Dominik Faciano, 23, of Missouri died in the crash.

They were employed by Surdex Corporation. The Rockwell International 690B airplane was conducting aerial imagery, according to the National Transportation Safety Board, who released an initial report last week. It was taking images of forest vegetation for the Wisconsin DNR.

The National Transportation Safety Board, the Federal Aviation Administration, along with the Forest County Sheriffs Department and the Forest County Medical Examiners Office are investigating the cause of the crash.
