The National Weather Service predicts about a quarter-inch of ice accumulation across Vilas, Oneida, Forest and Florence counties. Up to an inch of ice accumulation is possible in Ontonagon, Gogebic, Iron and Dickinson counties.

Precipitation will change to rain by midday today as the temperature rises, but that will transition back to snow Wednesday evening and continue through Thursday morning.

As of 7:00 a.m. road conditions on most highways are reported as ice covered or slippery stretches. You can check the latest road conditions at 511WI.
