Iron Mountain VA Medical Center Holding Virtual Town Hall Thursday

The Iron Mountain VA Medical Center has made a lot of changes during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep veterans and staff safe.

Even when some services may be limited or different, the VA says it’s still important to reach out to veterans.

It’ll be offering another virtual town hall this Thursday starting 5:00.

Veterans will get an update on the Iron Mountain VA’s COVID-19 response, deferment of VA co-pay billing, home care options, and an update on the COVID-19 Vaccine.

“The VA has not come up with a concise plan for how we’re going to distribute the vaccine. We’re going to give as much information as we have on the progress for giving that vaccine and then we will give updates and we get updated,” said Assistant Public Affairs Officer John Jamison.

The town hall is done via Facebook.

You don’t need a Facebook account to watch it, but you do need it to ask questions.

Even if you can’t watch live, Jamison says they’ll answer any questions in the comments.

“They can go on Facebook and they can watch it anytime after that. This won’t be the only time that they won’t be able to reach out and watch it again. Even if they watch it again and they submit their questions to us, we do view Facebook several times a day and we can get their comments and give answers to their questions,” said Jamison.

You’ll be able participate in the virtual town hall this Thursday on the Iron Mountain VA Facebook page.
