Aspirus Health has Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners available at a number of facilities

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program, or SANE, will now be offered at Aspirus Langlade in order to help victims get the care they need

On average in Wisconsin, one out of three adult women and almost one out of every five adult men will experience sexual violence in their lifetimes.Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital now has trained nurses that specialize in care for those who have experienced sexual or domestic violence.

Roughly one in three women and one in five men from Wisconsin will experience sexual violence in their lifetime.Aspirus wants sexual assault victims to know there is support for them.The SANE Program is available at six Aspirus hospitals.

Right now, there are six nurses at Howard Young Medical Center who have gone through extra training to help them treat sexual assault and abuse victims.…
