9/11

People the Town of Rome in Adams County took on a climb of remembrance and reflection on Wednesday, honoring the first responders who gave their lives on September 11th, 2001

The Northwoods Veterans Post currently houses local branches of the VFW, American Legion, AMVETS, Disabled American Veterans, and VFW-Auxiliary. It’s also home to the local Boy Scout, Cub Scout, and Girl Scout troops.

9/11 was a day many adults in this country will never forget. But for kids in school right now, what they know of the day comes from the pages of a history book and conversations with family members.

Several communities in the Northwoods are holding public ceremonies in remembrance of the 9/11 attacks.
